Crowdy Head

Crowdy Head has a lovely old lighthouse, and Harrington has a good shipping history/early settlement

Today the local fishermen, joined by numerous enthusiastic visitors, fish the waters and bring in good catches of snapper, bream, blackfish and whiting, and this area has good whale-watching as well.
Crowdy Head gained national media coverage when a school of False Killer Whales beached themselves down from the old 1895 quarry, and some were assisted back to sea.
