Due to the lucky convergence of the mountains and the coast just north of Harrington, we are blessed with ample year-round rainfalls and have some rather stunning rainforests to show for it!

The adiabatic effect of the old volcanic domes of the Three Brothers being right on the coast causes low moisture coming in from the south to let loose, making for good year-round flows Lansdowne and Stewart's River systems.
