Why Harrington & Crowdy Head?

Harrington & Crowdy Head are unique on the Mid North Coast in their unspoilt beauty and a complete lack of that overdeveloped "could-be-anywhere" feel.  We have maintained that old-time seaside holiday village atmosphere, whilst keeping a more relaxed focus than other coastal communities.   

At the northern inlet of the Manning River, Harrington is located just 3½ hours north of Sydney and 30 km northeast of Taree.  Crowdy Head just 10 minutes north along coastal dunes is the only complete headland community between Port Macquarie and Forster-Tuncurry.  See more about our region here!

Why Harrington & Crowdy Head?

To be perfectly honest, compared to other seaside towns on the North Coast of NSW, Forster to the south is quite a bit more developed, with their beachfront populated with high-rise apartment buildings.  Port Macquarie to the north offers shopping malls and a well-developed downtown area indistinct from many Sydney suburbs.

While Laurieton, at the northern end of Crowdy Bay National Park does offer access to the park, the Camden River there does not quite compare with impressive sweep of the Manning River and white glistening Manning Bar.  The Laurieton, West Haven, North Haven, Dunbogan and Camden Head communities there are all much more developed as well.
